Visit at the Tombs of the Kings for site inspection
On February 21st, Dr Nicholas Kyriakides, Dr Renos Votsis and Dr Orestes Marangos, visited the archaeological site, Tombs of the Kings in Paphos. The purpose of the visit was to conduct a visual structural inspection of the tombs, with a primary focus on observing and documenting the primary fissures on the stone monuments. The inspection covered the entire site, including all tombs, and the fissures were recorded on an aerial image (Figure 2) produced during the first summer school by the Geomatics Team of the ENGINEER project. The findings of the site inspection will be analyzed and discussed during the workshop at UCL. Subsequently, based on the assessment, the results will be considered in the preparation of the summer school activities and objectives.
