Call for Expression of Interest Global Report on Cultural Policies | Appel à manifestation d’intérêt Rapport global sur les politiques culturelles

ENGINEER project, through the coordinator Dr Athos Agapiou under his capacity as Deputy Director of the UNESCO Chair on Digital Heritage and with support of the Chair holder Prof. Marinos Ioannides, is expected to contribute to the first edition of the UNESCO Global Report on Cultural Policies 2025.

Following the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development – MONDIACULT 2022, which advocated for the integration of culture as a stand-alone goal in the post-2030 development agenda, this report will serve as a foundation for discussions at the UNESCO World Forum on Cultural Policies – MONDIACULT 2025, addressing priority areas for cultural policy in a constructive and inclusive dialogue.

The Global Report will consist of seven chapters, based on the priorities set out by the MONDIACULT 2022 Declaration, namely: (1) guaranteeing cultural rights; (2) leveraging digital technologies in the culture sector; (3) fostering culture and arts education; (4) enabling a sustainable economic ecosystem for culture; (5) protecting and promoting culture in the face of climate change; (6) protecting artists and culture at risk; and (7) anchoring culture as a global public good for sustainable development, peace and security: towards a culture goal post-2030.

The role of the selected UNESCO Chairs will be to assist the authors in the drafting process, providing additional research, data, analysis and evidence on regional trends, as well as insights relevant to their specialized thematic areas.

A major contribution of the ENGINEER team to a global effort under the auspices of UNESCO!
