Hands on experience with the data collected in the field
CUT members had the opportunity to work on the data collected the day before at the Tombs of the Kings. Laser scanner registration and cleaning the noise, orthophoto production of the low altitude cameras, GNSS Rinex correction, cross-sections in a CAD environment and many more!
First Workshop and Summer School of the ENGINEER project!
The 1st Workshop and Summer School focused on 3D Modelling and Technologies was successfully implemented this week. CUT members joint forces with POLIMI advance partners towards the documentation of the Tomb7 of the Tombs of the Kings sites, an UNESCO World Heritage protected site. Special thanks to the Department of Antiquities for their support and providing access to the site. Close range photogrammetry, laser scanners, total station, GNSS sensors, low altitude systems and spectroradiometers have been used in this effort. UAVEIRO also participated...May 2023
Virtual Lecture: “Horizon Europe framework” (Research management and administrative skills)
The virtual lecture entitled “Horizon Europe framework” of the ENGINEER Project has been successfully accomplished on May 23rd (9:30-13:30 CET). The event makes part of a series of five virtual lectures in the framework of the WP3 of Project entitled as “Research management and administrative skills”. The lecture has been hosted by the Politecnico di Milano, one of the advanced partners of the Project.
ENGINEER members support documentation of the Timios Stavros Byzantine Church in Pelendri village, an UNESCO World Heritage site
Today, ENGINEER members have visited the UNESCO World Heritage site of Timios Stavros Byzantine Church in Pelendri village, Limassol, to support the documentation of the monument through a series of advance surveying instruments. The documentation is part of the EUREKA3D Horizon Europe project, and the results can be further exploited by the ENGINEER project.

EURISY, Disaster Management Workshop
ENGINEER project was presented by the coordinator of the project Dr Athos Agapiou at the Cyprus National Workshop "Satellite-based Services for Disaster Risk Management" organized at Hilton Hotel in Nicosia organised by Eurisy, Department of Electronic Communications and EUSPA.
