KickOff meeting in Cyprus (WP8), 10-11 November

The kick-off meeting of ENGINEER project was held as a 2-day event in Limassol (Cyprus), hosted by the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). A consortium session took place on Thursday, 10th of November 2022 where each partner presented the activities foreseen to be implemented according to the tasks assigned. First year’s activities planning was also discussed before the end of the session. An open session took place on Friday, 11th of November, 2022. In this session, the rector of CUT Prof. Panayiotis Zaphiris, the chair of the department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics of CUT Prof. Evangelos Akylas and the scientific officer of Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) of Cyprus Ms. Constantina Makri addressed their welcome notes. Prof. Athos Agapiou (project coordinator) then presented ENGINEER project’s scope and expected results. Presentations by all partners of ENGINEER consortium followed regarding the capacity and role of their institutions/organizations in the project. Following the open session, a final consortium session was held to conclude on the discussion’s points raised in the previous sessions while the meeting ended with a tour of the members of all partners to CUT laboratories.
