Advisory Board of THETIDA project

The project coordinator was invited to participate as a member of the Advisory Board of Horizon Europe project entitled THETIDA, established to ensure an effective networking and knowledge exchange involving different groups of external professionals working in the fields of geoinformatics and earth observation, integrated systems for cultural heritage management, heritage material deterioration, ocean and geo-hazards modelling, crowdsourcing, living labs and co-creation approaches. THETIDA aims to contribute to safeguarding and protecting Europe’s coastal and underwater cultural heritage by exploiting cutting-edge monitoring technologies for addressing multi-hazard risk understanding, leading to better preparedness but also faster, adapted and efficient response. THETIDA will also promote, test and demonstrate innovative and sustainable modelling tools and a decision support system to protect cultural heritage and cultural landscapes. Project activities will actively engage diverse community groups and stakeholders in participatory and inclusive data acquisition, co-creation and co-design processes through citizen science and participatory Living Lab methodologies. Through his participation to the Advisory Board of THETIDA, the project coordinator will have the chance to attend plenary meetings and pilot demonstrations within the context of the project, expand his network and access other relevant projects and reference CUT on THETIDA’s social media, deliverables and reports.
