UNESCO Chair on Digital Heritage supports CONNECTING Infrastructure Proposal
The UNESCO Chair for Digital Cultural Heritage supports the CONNECTING Infrastructure Proposal, submitted to “Small Scale Research Infrastructures” call. The UNESCO Chair is a supporter of the ENGINEER project.
UAVEIRO/UCL/POLIMI supports CONNECTING Infrastructure Proposal
The advance partners of the ENGINEER project, namely the UAVEIRO, UCL and POLIMI have provided a Letter of Support for the “Small Scale Research Infrastructures” proposal.Submission of Infrastructure proposal, supported by ENGINEER consortium, part of actions for acquiring relevant infrastructure
Following the discussions from the kick-off meeting as well as suggestions made by the advance partners, and reported in the Deliverables of WP1, the CUT laboratories participated in the ENGINEER project have joint forces for a new local call entitled as “Small Scale Research Infrastructures”. The Call “Small Scale Research Infrastructures” concerns the funding of projects aims to create new or upgrading small-scale research infrastructures that will be used for the implementation of a high-level cutting-edge research project by the Consortium. Another four deliverables have been successfully and on-time uploaded to the participant portal. These deliverables include the following: Evaluation report including local institution existing capacities, baseline assessment Report of the GAP analysis Risk management and contingency planning Dissemination, exploitation and communication plan
High School visits CUT (A’ Technical School), presentations from A. Agapiou and N. Kyriakides
Dr. Athos Agapiou and Dr Nicholas Kyriakides had the opportunity to demonstrate to high school graduate students of the A’ Technical school of Limassol, the facilities of the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics and informed them about research activities of the Department.
Participation at “A Cloud for All” event
ENGINEER team members have followed the “A Cloud for All” event, organized by the European Commission. This event aims to kick-start the formation of a community of practice between cultural heritage professionals and demonstrate how the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage can be useful in their everyday work.
