ENGINEER data re-used as class material for Photogrammetry module at CUT (Geomatics BSc)

Prof. Dimitrios Skarlatos has re-used drone imagery, acquired during ENGINEER Summer School I at the Tombs of the Kings over Tomb 7, as class material for the Photogrammetry II module lectured for the needs of Geomatics BSc at CUT.  More specifically, the students are called to process RTK drone photos using Context Capture to produce Orthophotos and Digital Surface Models (DSMs).

ENGINEEER project communicated during the Two-Day Online Informational Seminar for Master’s Level Postgraduate Programs 2024-25

ENGINEER project, along with other research project of the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics has been communicated during the Two-Day Online Informational Seminar for Master’s Level Postgraduate Programs 2024-25 event took place today.  Cyprus University of Technology organized a Two-Day, Online Informational Seminar for its master’s degree Programs. These programs have been announced and are currently accepting applications for the September 2024 intake.

Argyro Argyrou’s (PhD Candidate) presentation at CUT MSc “Geoinformatics and Earth Observation”

Argyro Argyrou, Ph.D. candidate at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) under the supervision of Assistant Professor Athos Agapiou, introduced the ENGINEER project to the students of the MSc “Geoinformatics and Earth Observation” as part of an invited talk in the module of “Earth Observation for Environmental Monitoring”. Argyro’s doctoral research is directly linked with the activities of the ENGINEER project in the context of archaeology and cultural heritage monitoring and preservation with novel tools and techniques.

Exploring the marine cultural resources of Cyprus

A very interesting article published at Phileleftheros newspaper regarding the exploration of marine cultural resources of Cyprus. The article sumamarises the activities carried out during the Cyprus Regional Development Project (CRDP) project funded by the Honor Frost Foundation (HFF).  Archaeological surveys were carried out during two training seminars organized by the CRDP, as announced by the Department of Antiquities. Participation at the INSIGHT Workshop

It is with great pleasure to participate at the INSIGHT Workshop, to be held at the Archaeological Research Unit of the University of Cyprus on 20th of April 2024.  The event is organised as part of the “A unique monument at the crossroads of political transformation: Investigation and documentation of the Palaepaphos-Laona tumulus” project, funded by the A.G. Meeting with UCL
